The right to a healthy environment!

June 5 will be World Environment Day. This annual event, established by the United Nations to raise awareness of the most pressing environmental issues, is dedicated this year to air pollution.

this awareness has led to a greening of recognized human rights: many of them are now interpreted to also include protection against harmful factors, such as noise or water pollution, which allows , in specific cases, to assert in court the right to a healthy environment.

Pursuing a precise objective, this right must be analyzed as a right to “protect” a healthy environment, which does not concern the protection of nature, but the safety of man in his living environment (protection the quality and the living environment of human populations in the face of environmental attacks – pollution of all kinds, environmental risks – resulting mainly from human activities; an object to which we can add the protection of private property when it is affected by such attacks )
